Spacious yet cosy rooms will receive you inside a recently renovated 19th century building that is one block away from the Templo Mayor and Zocalo Downtown of Mexico City. We believe in providing you with a type of accommodation that will only enhance your journey.

More than a hostel, Casa San Ildefonso is your house for the amount of time you decide to submerge yourself in the cultural richness of Mexico City, in its traditions, its flavors and its people.

You can choose to stay either in one of our 6-5-4-3 bed dorm, and we also have plenty of double and single rooms available. 95% of our rooms have ensuite showers/WC. For your comfort all our beds are single beds, no bunkbeds!! Linen + Towels

Reception is open 24 hrs, however if you are arriving after 8pm the front door will be closed, but just ring the bell and security will open the door for you and guide you towards reception.

We ask for a 10 USD deposit at check in in exchange for your towel and linen. This deposit will be returned to you at check out!

From MEX airport: easiest way is to take a 15 min taxi ride: 19 usd
TAPO bus terminal is also a short taxi ride away.

Nearest Metro station is : ZOCALO (3 blocks away from the hostel)
Nearest Metrobus station is: REPUBLICA DE ARGENTINA ( 1 block away from the hostel)

The hostel is located right behind the San Ildefonso Musuem, the museum's back door is face to face with the hostel's entrance.

San Ildefonso is a pedestrian street, the most convenient entrance to the street is is San Ildefonso's street intersection with Republica de Argentina.

There is a blue police station in the corner, keep walking for 200 meters along the pedestrian street and you will find the museum on the left hand side.
